Oh wow what a beautiful job!!!

The boom looks like a pain to me too, good to hear it went so well.

Very nice job! I did one just like that a little while ago - and I loved it.

The PE was actually far easier to deal with than I had thought it would be.

Nicely done! And thanks for the pics.

Don

I did that kit with the Eduard PE a little while ago, and it came up beautifully. The kit is easy to build, and the Eduard PE is also very easy.

It REALLY helps to have a PE bending tool - I have a Small Shop and a Dspiae PE bender - you really need it for the long telemetry boom, plus you'll beed to bone up on your soldering skills. I was a total novice at the soldering - but it came out great. You can fold then solder the two pieces of the boom together then gently give them the twist they need without much trouble.

There's evena teeny little gold plated alien that's flipping the bird to put on the stand....LOL.

Go for it - I think you'll enjoy it. It's an odd subject, but looks great when done.

Cheers, LeeTree

Very nice!

Yours is the second really nice build of that kit. I am going to see if I can find one!

Hi,

In my opinion one of the two most successfully projects human ever did ... Voyager 1&2 and Hubble telescope. Here is the first one in short description:

10/10/2019:

42years 1month 4days in space

38 026 mph, 62 140km/h (17km/sec)

Take 34 000 photos

Flyby Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and their moons

Distance from sun 147 AU (1AU= distance earth -> sun)

Contact with probe should be lost in 2025.
