Sludge wash with acrylic over Future?

This might be a dumb question but can I do a sludge wash with acrylic paint over a Future finish or do I have to use an oil based wash?

Not a dumb question at all.

Acrylic sludge wash over Future should work just fine. It's my preferred method. If you use an acrylic clear coat to finish, be sure to overcoat the washed areas with Future first---the soap in the sludge wash can sometimes react with acrylic overcoats and turn them white.

Didn't think of it but the test sludges I did where on models I top coated with Future at one time.  I didn't recoat after the wash though since i was only testing the sludge wash.  I guess I should also experiment with what top coats work best for me also.  I'm going to keep an eye out for any reaction with the sludge or the soap in it.

Thanks for jump starting my brain!Bang Head
