I just finished my FW-190D9. It came out well. The last step was to paint the exhaust stains. I had been using acrylics. Red brown airbrushed on, then overlayed with a bit of black. I got a slight bit of overspray along the fuselage that was a pain to correct. So anyway. I swtiched to oils. Burnt umber feathered back, then overlayed, more sparingly, with black. The effect is quite a bit better and realistic than with acrylics. Thought I'd pass it on.
