I have used acrylic gel medium, which is available in art supply stores,it sculpts real easy, and dries clear. There was an FSM article way back in 1983 that detailed it's use

1/350 NJ WW2 config --- in water???

I am finishing up  Tamiya 1/350  Missouri ---- converted to the NJ config in 1944.  I have seen many dioramas where the vessel is in the water, I would like to try doing this , but as it would be the fist time I am terrified that I would screw it up and ruin everything.  I remember seeing articles in the Magazine, but can not find it

Any suggestions as to article, books?    Would need to the techniques of creating the  the water and painting suggestions  ------ and any feedback that I am nuts to try this
