going to pull the trigger and re-scribe a whole kit. my question is what grit sand paper or sanding stick do you use  to sand them down?

thanks!

I'd use the finest you could reasonably get away with, 400 grit should work well. That will knock down the plastic reasonably quick and not gouge a lot of deep scratches that you will have to sand out later.

Have you flown a Ford lately?

Nothing wrong with using more than one grade of sandpaper- coarser stuff first and finer stuff afterwards.  You need to finish up with something like 400 or 600. If that doesn't take the details off fast enough you can start with 320 and follow up with the finer stuff.  Of course, use it wet- it works so much faster wet than dry.
