Hi All
Having recently returned to scale model building, I admit to being a lurker for some time :) Apologies that this gripe post serves as my introduction...
Adding detail using PE/resin is something new that I have been venturing into over the last few months, and due to the lack of variety of LHS here in South Africa that cater to this level of PSM building, I spend quite a lot of time buying from websites in the UK, Aus, and the US. Sometimes though, one can get a good deal through the original source, such as Eduard.
This is where I noticed something strange on the Eduard website, and I would like to know if anyone else has noticed this.
When I add a product without logging in (for example 49337) it is listed as 325 Kc.
If I then login, the currency changes to US Dollar, but now the same item is $25.
This is the equivalent of 492 Kc?
I sent a mail off to their support as it seemed wrong to me that one would have to pay shipping as well as an inflated price just because you are in anther region of the world. In my experience, other sites do not do this?
Support replied that; "Note that we have different prices for different regions, that's why you're seeing prices that doesn't make sense when converting them."
Doesn't seem fair to me, or am I just being silly?
Thanks
Liam
