The softer side

Hey all, I'm trying to think up a way to mask my AM Avenger so that the lines between blues and white are a little softer than what you get with masking tape. I don't trust myself free hand and was thinking of trying this approach: Cut the media I'll use for masking and tape it on the kit so it doesn't lie flush. The concept works in my head, but has anyone tried that technique? And if so, did it work?

Yup, that's a time-honored technique you've stumbled across.
You can keep the mask raised off the surface with rolled masking tape or blu-tac.
Make sure you spray perpendicular to the surface.

Good luck! Big Smile [:D]
