Cleaning Brass

Sanding is not an option due to where the rust is. I need something I can clean it with that doesn't involve snading. I though there was something on the market for cleaning brass, but I all can find are polishes. Are they the same?

Ryan-there used to be a product called "Brasso" for cleaning brass. You put it on, let it dry and then buff it off with a soft rag. Buy it at a hardware or grocery store.

I use Crest regular to polish silverware and brass. Works great and leaves a minty aftertaste instead of whatever corrosive chemical Silvo and Brasso uses.
