Try toothpaste! No, really.

I use Crest regular to polish silverware and brass. Works great and leaves a minty aftertaste instead of whatever corrosive chemical Silvo and Brasso uses.

So long folks!

Thanks everyone! I'll look for it on my next trip. No more trips for just a few things with the way gas is.

Ryan-there used to be a product called "Brasso" for cleaning brass. You put it on, let it dry and then buff it off with a soft rag. Buy it at a hardware or grocery store.

Sanding is not an option due to where the rust is. I need something I can clean it with that doesn't involve snading. I though there was something on the market for cleaning brass, but I all can find are polishes. Are they the same?

What is the best way to clean brass PE parts that are corroded and oxidated?
