I am finding it difficult to explain whats my problem exactly. It's not that i don't know how to sand filler. But when a gap appeares between 2 plastics which are 90 degrees to each other,it's a problem to me. I try to sand the filler but the filler doesn't sand nicely and sharp. It's like the sand paper does not reach well the corner. Please help....

hey andrew, i think for this problem you will need a metal FILE of somesort, try a nailfile. if you still have difficulty, try placing a 90 degree object behind the sandpaper. like sandwitching the sandpaper.. thing is you will have to glue the sandpaper to your 90 degree object for this to work.. what kind of filler are you working on anyway? putty? try lacquer or acetone(nailpolish remover) tamiya sells these sanding files.check them out. goodluck

the carboard finger nail files work good for stuff like that, plus they are cheap and have 2 grits on them.

You could try putting a sharp fold in a peice of low-grit sand paper and sand with the edge of the fold. It works almost like a file but takes some practice. A square rat-tail file would be your best bet however.

I go to the beauty supply shop with my wief to pick up the nail sanding sticks. They do have square sanding blocks, soft foam core, that work quite well for something like that. Most of the time, though, I just fold the paper over like mentioned above, and always wet sand.
