iwata neo problem
Posted by urich on Saturday, April 19, 2014 10:43 PM

I have a Iwata neo which I like very much I bought as a back up air brush. I'm having problems with I believe is called blow back ( bubbles in the cup) I have striped it down and cleaned it a couple of times and still I'm having this problem any tips what I might have missed

. PS when I put my thumb over the cup I can feel strong pressure on it and get a great spray out of the nozzle.

There is a tiny black o-ring on the nozzle.  It may be damaged.  Try a little Chapstick on the threads.

There could be a crack in the tip of the nozzle.  Examine it with a magnifier.

I've found that, with the Neo, you need to clean clean clean. When you finally think you've cleaned it enough... clean it again. My only issue with it is by my own doing because I suck at mixing paint and I don't use very high quality paint to begin with. It shoots enameled like a champ though.
