Valspar spray paint
Posted by sonofajugpilot on Friday, January 2, 2015 8:34 PM

Has anyone ever used Valspar spray paint on their models? The Lowe's store near me has a wide variety of colors and the can says it is for plastic. The paint is both paint and primer in one  - any thoughts or experience on this product?

I once bought Valspar spray paint as a primer.  Way too coarse for modeling.

Thanks for the heads up. I guess no one out there has used the stuff judging by the lack of response.

You can use Valspar Non-Spar varnish .It has an over night drying time.Need a drying booth to prevent dust spoil.

I used Valspar "Brilliant Silver" Spray paint on an old Revell B-58 Hustler model. It came out as a very realistic NMF. However, it did become slightly more "metallic flake silver" when clear-coated.
