Yes, there's a steady rush of air but no paint, thinner is drawn up and sprayed.
Did your cleaning just involve running thinner through it, or did you do any disassembly for cleaning?

My thoughts exactly.
Air, but no liquid? Either you ran out of paint or no paint in your paint cup. Hole in the hose or hose not attached to compressor correctly.
In other words, it may be out of adjustment. What type of airbrush is it?
I,m using a Badger 150 with an Iwata Ninja Jet compressor. Hose is connected as I'm getting a steady strong air supply but it's not drawing paint from the paint receptacle.
Here are my thoughts:
Either the paint is not thin enough.
There is dried paint in the body feed tube partially blocking it. Thinner and water will get thru but paint will be a different story.
The air breather hole in the bottle is blocked or pick up tube is blocked.
Not enough air pressure.
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
Is it a bottom feed dual action internal mix airbrush? Are you using the glass bottle? If so, is the tube INSIDE the bottle cap still attached to the lid? If not, there's your problem.
All good suggestions. Take the bottle off, but leave the cap and tube on. Can you get any suction at the end of the tube?
Pure thinner takes very little air pressure in that brush. If it will not spray thinner I would suspect a clog in the line, not lack of air pressure from compressor. Some of the passages in an airbrush are pretty fine, so they will clog easily if cleaning is not thorough.

Had the same problem with mine yesterday. Remove the needle, make sure it's clean of paint and take a very fine pipe cleaner if you have a cleaning kit of some sort and run it through the back of the disassembled airbrush. Most likely, your problem is a paint clog. My clog was very tiny and kept anything from flowing through the brush, except air. Hope it helps!
