Try spraying plain water to see if the paint is the problem.  If it's an old style 200, the Teflon head gasket (little white ring) may be leaking and allowing air to bubble into the paint path.  Another possibility is a leaking needle bearing. You might want to contact Badger at info@badgerairbrush.com. If it is the needle bearing they will replace it free.

Sorry i guess i left out some info, Yes i have a regulator and water trap, the compressor is a craftsman from sears the air tank is  100cuft or so.   I guess i will need to check the o-ring at the connection.  The airbrush is a 200, i bought it many years ago.

Mike, Possibly a slip of figure. "0" became "9". Could that be Badger 200 airbrush?

Whiskey52, What compressor do you use? How did you connect the AB to the compressor? There are many causes for AB malfunction. A weak compressor or leaky connection would be my first suspect.

Do you have an inline pressure regulator? Moisture trap? If it is pulsing on cause is because you don't have a regulator installed. Essentially each time the piston in the compressor moves it creates a pulse of air through the hose and out the airbrush.
