Ah.

Plenty of reasons to be cautious, then.

The product I have some hopes for is named 'Pledge KlarPolish' and is intended for 'plastic floors [...] and gives [a] high gloss [finish]'.

According to the declaration, the stuff contains

Polykarboxilates: 15 - 30%

Non-ionic surface-active compounds: 0.2 - 5 %

(Yep. That's all it says.) Could it really be that I'm having the Elusive Future on my workbench...?

Not all floor finishes are the same...even if they are acrylic.Future is a clear acrylic...others may be a wax blend...something you Do Not want as it will affect the finish of the paint and possibly attack it.

Contact me off forum if you need a source for it.

Pledge Klear vs other polishes for vinyl floors?
Posted by Dr. Coffee on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 1:46 PM

Hi all.

I happen to be located in a country where Pledge Klear seems not to be available; at least not in the same form as in the US. Today I drove across the border to the adjacent country and found a Pledge product with a brand name that suggests it *might* be what I'm looking for, but I am by no means certain. I have, on the other hand, found several floor polishes in the local shops. Some are meant for lacquered wood floors, others are meant for vinyl floors.

So: Is there any reason why I can not use one of the alternative products instead?

As I understand it, Pledge Klear is designed for vinyl floors. Are there any reason why other polishes for vinyl floors can not be used instead of Pledge Klear?
