Hi,

Just a quickie, I have been airbrushing my latest kit and the finish is everso slightly rough, like a fine sandpaper but not ..... if u see what i mean! i have been using vallejo model air thinned with a few drops of water and a compressor pressure of around 20 psi... not sure whats going wrong, mixture ,pressure or both. Any pointers

p.s  Its a matte finish at the moment.

Thx for any help

I think you may be holding the airbrush a bit to far from the model.  You might also be stroking the airbrush too quickly across the model.  Get a scrap piece of plastic and try holding the airbrush at different distances and sweep the airbrush at different speeds to see what works.

Thx Fly

Adjusting the speed of of the sweep and altering the distance seems to have done the trick. Just need to keep practicing so i dont forget.

Thx for the tip
