Mist coating - how to achieve
Posted by OhOh on Monday, June 15, 2009 11:09 AM

Hi,

I get the idea of a mist coat, but I'm not sure how to achieve one.

Do I need to drop the air pressure real low and shoot from close-up, or high pressure and distant?

(I've a double action airbrush if that makes any difference.)

Cheers,

Kevin

Same way you'd water a plant...low pressure low volume...just like a misting rain. Let the coverage build up gradually.

Watch how I do it on my video.

Thanks HH - that helps cut down the scope for variation when I get some practice time over the weekend.
