Drop your psi down below 15. If you do have orange peel you can smooth it with a polishing stick and some water...wet polishing to remove the ridges.

Orange peel with Klear, do I need to thin it?

Hi all,

First time using Johnson Klear as clear coat, and first problems...I have read on several web pages that Klear does not need to be thinned when airbrushed, but I unfortunately got the bloody orange peel effect. I airbrushed it at 15-25 Psi but maybe a bit too far. Anyway, I am sanding my model now, so just want to know whether Klear need to be thinned (ratio, thinner?). Again, the distance might be too long, hence the paint drying on the way.

Thanks!
