Panel lines on aircraft
Posted by robrosa on Monday, June 22, 2009 11:57 AM

Hi,

What are the techniques to use to produce the panel line details that I see on various aircraft? Is there a good reference book about it?

Thanks

not sure about a book but i've seen it done from everything from an airbrush, to a wash, to plain drybrushing! i'm sure someone will help you further...but perhaps you might get better results posting this in the aircraft forum?! Wink [;)]

You can use pre-shading for engraved panel lines. See a free video from Phil Forey at promodeller.com. (The second one on basic airbrushing on the page.)
