Moisture trap questions...
Posted by BeltFed on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 6:44 PM
I have two moisture traps.  One is at the very beginning of my air hose that connect to the compressor, and the other is at the end of the hose and connects into my airbrush.  However, i am still getting water in air.  I have had the above rig for a few months and have had no problems, but now all of a sudden i am having issues.  Could the traps be full?  How do I empty them (an embarrassing question)SHould the compressor be running while i press the buttons? the water sprays all over, but the moisture is gone.  It usually works, but i am afraid i will damage something (like an O ring) is thet the right way to do it?  I have tried pressing the little button without the compressor running, but nothing happens

If u can spare some extra cash.... I assure you. This will solve your problem.

Trow away your old moisture trap that comes with your comressor. Get an "industrial" type moisture trap.  Get a coiled airhose also. And you will have a worry free of airbrushing.

I use a simular set up with a regular trap attached to the compressor and a small in-line one a foot or so from the compressor. The big one should have a drain at the bottom that you would open while it is running to blow out the water, and the in-line may or may not have a drain. If not, remove the hose from it on the airbrush side and turn it on. Then you will have to shake the you-know-what out of it and tap it against the palm of your hand. point away from your work area as water will spray out.

It's all about classic cars now!

Why can't I find the "Any" key on my keyboard?
