Try a mixture of 25% Simple Green, 25% water, and 50% Windex.

If that doesn't work, try denatured alcohol or ethyl alcohol (Everclear).

Finally, brake fluid is the last resort.

You can also use Pine-Sol. I found it to remove the paint easily enough.

Super Clean is the best IMHO.

Let the parts soak in it for a couple hours and then scrub it with an old toothbrush.

WEAR GLOVES! Super Clean has Lye in it (Sodium Hydroxide) as does Easy Off.

Second best would be Easy-Off oven cleaner in the yellow can.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] I'm with Mike-Super Clean works great-just be sure to wear latex gloves-the stuff is very hard on skin.

Ditto on the Super Clean. Works on other types of paints as well. It used to be called Castrol Super Clean, but is now simply "Super Clean" Cleaner/Degreaser. Don't confuse it like I did with its weaker cousin Super Clean All Wheel Cleaner.

Good point!

Super Clean is also biodegradable which is good.
