It makes sense to use a single-action airbrush to paint larger areas. But I am not sure about spending another $200 plus for the Iwata Custom TR.

Is it the single action or the pistol trigger that made the biggest difference?

The Badger 200G can be had for 1/3 of the price of the Custom TR, but the cup is smallish and the trigger is push down. Airbrush-Depot Master brand has a number of pistol trigger, single action airbrushs for under $100 too, such as the Master G76.

The Iwata Kustom TR is double action. Press the trigger for air. Press farther for paint. For me, its the pistol trigger that makes painting a joy. The ergonomic position is so relaxing to paint in a long period. I know there are other brands that offer this type. It just I'm comfortable with the Iwata's.

I have an Infinity for detailing and an Iwata Eclipse SBS for General Purpose.
But after getting the Iwata Kustom TR. Painting large area in a long period is so relaxing. In a gun type trigger. I find it more easier. It also have the same needle travel limiter that is also found in my Infinity. I guessed this will be my main workhorse. Just sharing my thought. :-)
