I've found that a little mineral spirits on a paper towel will wipe off enamel paint if it hasn't been on too long.  A toothbrush works in the crevices.  I had this same trouble when I first got an airbrush.  I'd suggest you practice on some empty plastic bottles until you get the hang of it.  It will save a lot of frustration.  The paint is drying before it hits the model.  You may have to get closer.

Tips on removing badly sprayed paint from model.

Hi,

still learning to use my airbrush. Sprayed a plastic model with grey matt enamel and it's gone on all speckly and dusty. So I've either used too much pressure or too little thinner. Anyway when I rub the paint it starts to come off.

Any good ways to remove all the loose paint. Suggestions on cleaning agent and cloths to use. The model has rivet detail so using a kitchen towel just produces a dusty model. Was thinking of using a stiff model brush to brush it all away.

Thanks,

Ted.
