Color substitution
Posted by batai37 on Saturday, July 25, 2009 1:27 AM

Greets all,

I'm working on a A2M2 Zero ("Zeke"), and the cockpit color is supposed to be cockpit green (a Tamiya color). As I intend to hand brush this part of the model, and Tamiya's acrylics are so lousy for brush painting, can anyone suggest a substitute? TIA...

If you're partial to Vallejo, their equivalency chart suggests Model Color #891 Intermediate Green

Yep. I've found that method works best with Tamiya acrylics, and it's exactly how I'm doing it for painting the cockpit parts.
