Yep. It's called "cleaning." Latest thing from Europe…

Seriously, wipe the inside of the lid clean, as in no paint at all. Do this as soon as you open the thing. Second thing is to clean the rim of the bottle mouth. Never allow paint on the threads of the lid or the bottle. Use a pipette or dropper to decant paint. When you have finished with the paint, either brushing or decanting for spraying, repeat the process.

DO NOT shake the paint to mix it. The bottles are too small for this to be effective. Stir the paint to mix it. This will also result in less cleaning of the lid, rim, and throat of the jar.

Does it really work as well as they say, Ross?? 

Recon, you can also try this and it won't involve getting a passport.  Turn the jar upside down and put a few drops of thinner (for enamels) or rubbing alcohol (for acryllics) on the underside of the lid.  Capillary action will draw it into the threads.  After a minute or two you can turn the jar right side up and should be able to unscrew the lid.

Maybe after that you can try Ross' new fangled "cleaning" technique!!

and I always keep a plastic cup full of Q-tips to wipe a circle from the inside of the cover, then paper towel the glass rim (screw area) and I never have a problem.

I do it every time I close a MM bottle.
