you just have to make it work in those awkward places. you can cover an entire model with an airbrush...even if some places are harder than others. secondly, yes, i brush paint my road wheels occasionally, sometimes i a.b. them, as well as brush paint the little details like headlights, pioneer tools, etc. that's armor though but you can apply that to any model you build! as far as your build, your overspray on the wing...sometimes you have to mask certain areas. i might have used a piece of notebook paper with some blue tape or something to cover the wing while you did your intake! or if its just a small area...some blue tape will suffice!

that said, im glad your getting the hang of it and hopefully you'll post some pics when completed! Big Smile [:D]

Hi,

with all your help my first airbrushed model is comming along quite nicely. I think my next will be spot on :-) But I have more questions.

When spraying hard to get at areas whats the golden rule? I find that I'm inadvertantly angling the brush so I get some overspray to other parts. For example I airbrushed the side of an engine cowling but the oversray, fine though it was, hit the wing. Is the golden rule to always spray directly at the subject and if so how do you get into those awkward places.

Do you guys still use your brush brushes. I'm finding it's best to compliment the airbrushing by finishing some difficult parts with the brush.

I'll post some pictures of my first creation once I'm done.

All the best,

Ted.
