Airbrushing Future
Posted by MikeS71 on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 11:51 AM
Getting ready to seal for decal prep with Future.  This will be the first time I have airbrushed it, always just applied with a brush in the past.  I know it can go on straight, no diluting, but my question is about pressure.  Anyone have any tips on ideal psi and paint volume to achieve a good (not overloaded) coat?

As you have brushed it on before you probably already know this, but airbrush light coats first, build up to a wet coat.  Also, it will tend to run to the lowest point if you spray too heavily.  You can wick away the excess, or just hold the part you are spraying with Future flat until it sets.

REALLY easy to clean an airbrush of the Future if you spray some water with ammonia through it (non-sudsy ammonia is best).

The 48 hour drying is critical.  It takes a long time to dry.
