How to thin down?

i am currently trying to use naiil polish as a high gloss caot how do i thin it down it is a laquer.

If it is a lacquer (are you sure?) then thin with lacquer thinner.

Be careful though as that stuff can be dangerous if you do not have good ventilation.

it says laquer in the front of it thanks, ihave a spray booth that sucks out fumes

Why are you using nail polish as a clear coat when there are enamels and acrylics that do the job just fine?

I'd put a couple of drops in a saucer, then a couple of drops of lacquer thinner. Stir it around and see if it mixes OK. If it does, let it dry and see if it cures OK. If it does, try spraying a bit on some junk plastic. If that's OK, then you should be set to go. Be sure it's compatible with whatever your spraying over. Hopefully, you have a well ventilated spray booth or an organic vapors mask.
