compatible paint

I am building a balsa wood/tissue paper model (the way we did it 50 years ago!).  The base coat will be clear dope thinned 50%.  There is a scarcity of colored dope available.  Can I spray the dope base with Model Master enamels?  If not, what type of paint would be compatible with the dope covering?  The dope is necessary to maintain the tension of the tissue after it has been applied and shrunk with water spray.  Anybody ever do this?  P Raino

Yes, after the dope has cured you can spray it with MM without any problems.  Only problem you might run into is a weight / balance issue if you are going to fly it.
