Tamiya Acrylics as base for Alclad?

Personally, I would use Gloss black Krylon decanted from a can, although I have had good results with Humbrol enamel gloss black. I had a bad experience with Alclad and acrylic undercoat, where the undercoat was left to cure for a month, and the Alclad still cracked!

I have used Tamiya acrylic gloss black as a base for Alclad II with no ill effects.  I have also used Future as a base and that worked well too.
