Inline Regualtor Question
Posted by basiltank on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 12:01 AM
I have an inline regulator that I bought from my LHS and after getting it home, realising that it doesn't have any instructions.  After looking at it i found the adjustment knob, but turning it doesn't seem to do anything.  I've tried turning it up and down, but it doesn't do anything other than tell me the pressure that is in the air tank it is attached to.  Any ideas as to whats wrong; is it me or the machine?  Thanks for any and all help.

Perhaps the most important lesson I have learned is that you should never argue with an idiot. The people around you may not be able to tell the difference.

Pull up on the knob- the gear drive teeth will engage.  Might take quite a few turns to set presure up or down as desired. Turn knob while Compressor runs so you can see the pressure level change. Push knob back down to set when the right setting is reached. (check moulded body of regulator to see if an arrow indicates air direction, and make sure you have the instrument in-line correctly.               Happy painting
