Well, that's an interesting one.  The clue might be that you say you get no trace of air or paint.  Without air you won't get paint.  So it sounds like an air problem.  Take the paint bottle off and see it the air does the same thing.  If it does, maybe something is going on with your air source.  Or, maybe something is interfering with the air path in the brush.  Have a look at this page under No Air Comes Out.

G'day all

My Paasche VL doesn't maintain a consistent flow of air. When I'm holding it down and pulling back to let some paint through it always sprays for a few seconds whilst gradually dying down to almost no trace of air or paint coming out, completely pauses for a second then the flow comes out again in correspondance to the trigger setting and endlessly repeats.

Has anybody experienced this with their airbrush, Paasche or anything>?
