You answered your own question...anytime you put a clear of any kind over a color or NMF it will change the sheen. Since you're mixing NMF with Camo why not consider using....well SnJ Spray Metal? The two are more compatable...booth being enamels.

Max, I don't think it will ruin it. I mean, it will still look like metal. I would just give it test shot on some scrap plastic and see what happens. Give it a try and let us know how it goes. I would have just said that you don't need any sort coat at all over Alclad but I see you are doing camo also and you probably want to flatten that part out. Hope it works out for you.
