Testor Acrylic spray set questions... use with Enamel and/or Laquers?

I just purchased my son a Testors Acrylic spray set... can I use the spray cap to apply any paint type provided they are properly thinned? I know Testors have enmanel spray sets that look identical. I would also like to use it to apply laquers to the model rockets he and I build. Has anyone tryed this? Thanks for any help you can provide. Fatalii
