There is a tiny rubber O-ring in the air valve assembly.  Don't get lacquer thinner on it.  Otherwise you should be all right.

Do you really need to soak the whole brush, or just the front section that the paint flows through?  Here's how I clean mine.

Lacquer thinner should cut the acrylic and Future.

I think I need to give my AB a good thorough cleaning...  it's not totally clogged but the spray just doesnt seem right.  Have a Badger 200NH, question is, can I soak it in Laquer thinner?  All it has been used for is Tamiya acrylics and Future so will the laquer thinner work and will it damage the inner parts of the brush?
