I know what you mean.

Once I had handled one, I was sold. The trigger action is superb...in fact I sold my best Iwata to get this brush (I was able to get the brush and a Iwata Smart Jet for the price of my Iwata). I am still a fan of Iwata, but this brush really knocked me over.

I am also waiting to get to the painting stage of my model so I can fully review the brush. I am working on a Hasegawa Bf 109G-6. Good luck with your Jagdtiger...I asked for a Tamiya Jagdtiger for my birthday (October 17th). I hope the Birthday Fairy shows up with one!

**DISCLAIMER-The term "fairy" is used as a descriptive characture of a mythical creature. It, in no way implies a derogatory term towards the following: small winged-people, large bees with human heads or people with "Jazz Hands".**

I picked this up at AMPS East recently.  They had it set up to try it out and I was hooked. Couldn't get the money out of my wallet fast enough.  Now I can't wait to get my Jagdtiger to the painting stage.Tongue [:P]

I just purchased this airbrush from www.chicagoairbrushsupply.com. Here are some pics and a quick impression of the airbrush.

The model I purchased has a .2mm fluid nozzle with a .3mm option. This model also has the side cup option. The .2mm should allow for some pretty tight work. The .3mm was purchased just in case the .2mm is to tight. For larger area sprays I have a Iwata SAR (.5mm) on the way.

The airbrush arrived in a very sturdy plastic case. The foam insert holds the airbrush tightly so no movement is allowed within the case. Inside the case, the following items are included:

  1.  7ml side cup w/lid
  2. 15ml side cup w/lid
  3. side siphon w/30ml bottle
  4. Quick-Fit Needle Cap
  5.  Quick-Fit Crown Cap
  6. Side plug
  7. Nozzle Wrench

The cap's are magnetic so attatchment is very easy. Plus, they can be stored on the rear of the airbrush. One of the caps is crowned allowing for closeup work.
The rear of the airbrush also contains the Pre-set knob allowing control of the trigger. Turning this adjustment is very smooth and positive.

This airbrush is a double action unit. Pushing the trigger allows the air to flow. Pushing farther starts the paint flow. I have not used the airbrush yet, so bear this in mind. But, the trigger action is wonderful. The action is extremely smooth through the entire range. Reaching the halfway point is a very positive step notifying you that the paint point has been reached. Going past this point is very smooth and does not cause hand movement in doing so. How this translates to the paint remains to be seen. So far, I have high expectations.

I will report the airbrush is use later.....
