 White to lighten a color and I do'nt know why that you would want to darken a "MM" color they are made to military spec's, therefore you should only need to lighten them for scale effect.

All gave some and some gave all.

You can use either sandy tones, such as Tamiya's desert yellow,  to give a dirty faded look, or a paler green to give a highlighted/faded look, something like IJN grey which has a green tone.

To darken I'd use either a dark green, or something like Tamiya's NATO black which has a greeny tone to it.

Best bet is have a play and see what works for you.

what colors  do u use to lighten or darken an olive drab?

and if i have a faded olive drab, what colors to lighten or darken that?

 

I use MM enamels here.
