                        Thanks Phil,

                           I have mineral spirits, so I'll give that a try. Any suggestions as far as my other questions (mixing ratio, duration, and how best to remove excess)?

                        Neither of the above.

                        Either mineral spirits, "synthetic" (odorless) turpenoid or Mig's own thinners.

                        "Natural" turpentine/Turpenoid will take forever to dry. if it dries at all. Even then it may leavve a sticky/tacky surface.

                        Over the years, there have been many accounts of people using Turpentine/Turpenoid and found that it (a) ate the paint and/or (b) was still sticky after 6 weeks. Almost invariably, it's been the result of using one of the "natural" products.

                        Hey everyone,

                          I'm going to try my firsh wash over Tamiya acrylics and future clear coats. I have MIG productions Abteilung oils, and I want to know if I should be thinning with turpentine, turpenoid, or something else? The turpentine I have says it's 'from tree resin', and the turpenoid just says 'natural'. Can anyone tell me if one of these would be the way to go, and if so, at approx. what ratio(s)/duration. Oh...and what do you use to wipe away the excess? I thought perhaps some cotton gauze bandage material, followed by a dry brush or something? (Okay now, no laughing...just constructive criticism only ok?) Confused [%-)]
