Ok, tonight I intend to put down a wash on my current build, a Tamiya 1/32 F-4J Phantom II. The airframe is painted with Tamiya spray paint (light gray and insignia white). I believe those paints are lacquers but they might actually be enamels. Not sure. I've put down a couple of coats of Future which have had more than enough time to fully cure.
My wash technique is to mix some water-based "oil" paint (burnt umber or black) with water and apply that to the airframe. I let it get to the point that it is almost fully dry then rub the majority off with a rag soaked in turpentine.
I don't recall weather the last build I did this on, roughly 10 months ago, whether I coated that build with Future or Testor's clear gloss. I didn't have a problem with that build. Any one know if Future will react badly with the turpentine?
