Another Spraybooth WIP

i will be making some sort of booth at some point,the clear sides idea came about because where i'm going to put it has 2 windows very very close and when i normally spray i go to my garage doorway because it easier to see what your doing.........

  Paul, I don't know if any of the professionally made spray booths have clear sides. I have seen a few with translucent sides.

  I'm making mine out of what I can get my hands on cheaply. As I said above, the cabinet was free, so it was my starting point. Your idea is a good one. Using the clear plastic would help. My booth is in a reclaimed spare bedroom that doesn't have much light. It's on the wrong side of the house so clear sides would do me no good even if I had them.

  If you make one, try it with the clear sides. It couldn't hurt. Then let us know how it works (with pics of course). Your results might help someone else.

is there any reason why no-one makes the sides from clear acetate?

surely daylight would be better for spraying during the day and then you could use a built in lamp with white paper? taped around the outside for spraying at night............

Jim that looks great... and very familiar  Of course i don't mind if you use mine as a guide. That's the great thing about this forum.  Getting ideas to get something done.  I am flattered actually.

And you will be happy to know it works great too.

    Got some more work done on the booth today. The filter is installed after putting a coat of Kilz on the bare wood. Installed an adjustable light on the side of the booth and made a simple lazy susan for painting. Waiting for the blower and adapters. Here's the latest pic.
