I seriously think this may well become the standard airbrush of choice for modeling as it does everything any airbrush in it's category can do and it is cheaper than many. Add to that the fact that it is 100% American made and backed by the best customer service you will ever find and I have high hopes for the Patriot. I think it is going to bump my Omni 4000 out as my go-to airbrush.

Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom. " Charles Spurgeon

I've been using a Patriot for the last couple of months, and I absolutely love it. By far the easiest airbrush to clean that I've ever used. It is a no-nonsense performer and very, very easy to get great results with.

Greetings Mac,

First ask yourself what can I afford? and next am I willing to learn?  If the answers are I can afford it and yes I want to learn.  Then its time.  Single or dual action?  You can do so much more with a dual.  (The model 105 is a dual action.)

The airbrush is not your only expense in pulling a paint rig together.  There is the air line and compressor to purchase.  Next the airbrush is a tool. And a good one like the Patriot works only as well as you do.  The instruction booklet that comes with the Patriot is comprehensive and  giving it a careful read and yes a re-read gives you the knowlege you need to start.  Though you are the only one that can say if its right or not, my best input is - if your serious about modeling I would recommend it.  Model On!
