(1) Did you clean the needle sufficiently?

(2) Is the needle taped in securely?

(3) Check the needle for bending.

(4) Check the nozzle for split or other damage.

(5) If not sure about any of the above, contact Badger.

Can you press the trigger down or pull it back? If you can pull the trigger back, is the action smooth or does it feel restricted? If you can pull it back, does the needle retract?

If the action isn't smooth or the needle doesn't retract when you pull back, you have reassembled the brush incorrectly. If this is the case, I would suspect that the rocker lever (part R-0016) has slipped out of place. Can you see the tab at the top of the rocker lever against the back of the trigger shaft?

If you can't see this, it may have slipped out of position and been jammed below the trigger when you reinserted it. You will need to remove the needle and trigger and see if the rocker lever is there. When correctly positioned, the rocker lever should be against the back of the trigger shaft, the curved side to the rear of the brush and the tab at the top protruding from the trigger slot.

It is possible thru cleaning that you have some how dislocated the needle bearing.  This would explain the air flow with out applying pressure to the trigger.  Ship it to Badger Air Brush and they will put in a new needle bearing.   The turn around time is about 1 week, they do not charge for this service.  Get the address from their website.  How do I know this?  It happend to me last month.
