Why do you say that Gerald?

Have you used those tips on your Aztec at all before? What type of paint do you spray? You may have also overtightened the tips, or are completely closing off the needle.

With my Aztec, I spray only acrylics, and after each session, I remove the tip, separate the needle tip, and dump them both into windex window washing fluid, and let them soak there for a good 24 hours. At that point, I'll rinse out with water, and they're as good as new. I'll also soak the gravity cup and lid. I've had a lot of problems trying to use the siphon caps, and have just stopped using them alltogether, since there are usually problems with them.

I think I have found the issue.

I tried 3 nozzles blue, red and grey.

No air came out of the airbrush with the blue and red nozzle, however the grey one allows air through the airbrush.

I took a look inside the airbrush and I think the end of the grey nozzle is stuck inside. Is this possible
If so how can I remove it from inside the airbrush.

With the grey nozzle air is flowing out but the medium (water) is not flowing out.

thanks

Yes I bought the air compressor from TCP Global

I tested the airbrush using a gravity cup and it worked, but when I use the Siphon cap and bottle I get nothing out of the airbrush.

The TCP Global TC-16 should have enough pressure for siphon feed too unless there is leak. After checking for leak, just thin your paint more. A fresh air can has much more pressure than the cheap compressor.

Add the price of ONE model kit to the cost of the TC-16, you can easily upgrade to a more versatile compressor.

"What did you use for air source before you got the TC-16?"

I used a can of propellant with a single action airbrush

Thanks

Did I buy the wrong kind of compressor. I am using the Siphon and cup and Bottle.

The Power for the compressor says 1/8 hp
Max pressure is 43 PSI

Thanks

Scott,

You have to be more specific about which compressor you bought. Alibaba does not sell to retail consumer. There are many versions of this Made-in-China compressor and the performance may vary. If you got yours from TCPGlobal, you get a better compressor than the Testors Blue Ice that they usually package with your airbrush. The TCPGlobal TC-16 is one of the lowest powered compressor, but should work with your AB.  So check for dried paint gumming up your AB or leak between the compressor and AB.

Try your setup with water or fountain pen ink. If they work fine, there is a chance that your paint is too thick. You may consider getting a better compressor for just a little more.

What did you use for air source before you got the TC-16?

A piston compressor is fine for airbrushing as long as you have a regulator to keep the air flow from pulsating, which can happen with any hobby compressor. Is your airbrush clean and assembled correctly? Are you thinning the paints sufficiently? If you are spraying at max pressure, be prepared to repair your airbrush often. Get your pressure down under 20psi.
