viper,

I got both!  I really am enjoying them.  That Velocity you got sure has some incredible detail ability.  I don't think I've ever seen such fine color atomization as it puts out.  I do like the Patriot though for its project versatility.

Kosmonot:  So you were the one who got the Patriot at Columbus?  LOL.  I was the one who got the Velocity.

JOE RIX

Thus, my total cost for a very nice Anthem 155 was $52.99.

I cannot say enough about Badgers customer service. It is outstanding. Their service alone makes owning a Badger Airbrush worth it.

I hope that this experience can help the modelers on a budget out there. It does take an investment in time and patience i.e. searching and bidding on ebay then shipping off to Badger, But, with what I ended up with at the cost was well worth it.

Joe saved a grand total of $3.01 compared to buying the Anthem 155 at Badger's garage sale ($55). I would suggest future buyer to check Badger first before jumping into Ebay. You can save "an investment in time and patience i.e. searching and bidding on ebay then shipping off to Badger".

Badger Garage Sale.

You may still need some patience because the item you want is NOT always in stock at the Garage Sale.

Joe, thanks for sharing.  I'm keeping my eye out for deals on the Patriot.  I love the Anthems (have 6 of them) but after picking up a Patriot at Nationals and loving it, I want to convert completely to Gravity feeds.  The Patriot fits my budget, so I'd I'm hoping to get about 4 or 5 more of them.  I must admit the Rengade is a liuttle nicer deatil wise - but a little pricey for me to go totally Renegade.  I've nevr had to use Badger's service, but from what I hear, if I ver need to I won't be sorry I chose Badger.

That's a great deal for a 155! And a nice testimonial about Badger's excellent customer service.

So long folks!

Alternative for Purchasing a Bargain Badger Airbrush

Hey There All, I thought that I would share a manner in in which I obtained a Badger Anthem 155 airbrush for a great bargain. I have been wanting to upgrade from my Aztec 470 for some time to a more quality airbrush but had balked at the cost. Then,  I recently bid on and won a Badger Anthem 155 on ebay for $36.00. I wasn't really sure what condition it was in but for the price I rolled the dice. Upon arrival and inspection I found a bent needle and broken needle bearing. In addition the airbrush came without an air hose and color cup. I then found on the Badger website that you could send defective airbrushes in to them for repair and refurbish at only the cost of replacemant parts, Thus, I immediately sent the 155 in to them at a cost of $8.00 shipping, The airbrush was returned to me about 3 weeks later with a new needle and bearing and working optimumly at NO cost. I already had an airhose so I ordered a new color cup for $8.99. Thus, my total cost for a very nice Anthem 155 was $52.99.

I cannot say enough about Badgers customer service. It is outstanding. Their service alone makes owning a Badger Airbrush worth it.

Well, this is my test posting on the new web. Oh to become more lear-ned

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND GOOD TIDINGS, Joe
