I don't know about building a manifold. I do know they make them for relatively cheap with 2, 3, 4 etc fittings. I just bought a 3 way for my new compressor. I was getting tired of changing over everytime as well. The hook right up to the regulator and come with caps for the fittings not being used.

Good luck!

Woody

Do what I did and go to the pet supply store and buy an aquarium air manifold so you can leave all your brushes hooked up and ready to go.

Ditto

except I just raided my aqaurium supply box :P

 Don Stauffer:
I have seen setups where a guy has several brushes where he keeps them all hooked up with a manifold made from pipe fittings, a chain of fittings sort of in parallel.   They are then all ready to use all the time (assuming they are clean and have paint in them).

It is not for me. But you can buy one if so wish. The Silentaire guy Ernesto sells the Spectrum 2000.

Those are a gimmick and a waste of money. It was designed for T-shirt artists but hardly any of them use it.

Most just have a 15-30 airbrush set up.

Thank you guys for all of the suggestions.  I will probably go with some type of quick disconnect setup.  I only use my Badger right now, so it's not a pressing issue.  Plus, it seems to do everything I need it to do for the time being.  The Aztek was the first airbrush I bought and quickly learned what a mistake that was.  I bought the Badger shortly after and it has worked wonderfully. My girlfriend's father gave me the Paasche because he didn't use it anymore, so I wanted to put it to good use without having to switch hoses.  The quick disconnect route seems like the way to go.  So, thank you again!

As I own several airbrushes and don't want to sell them, I buy a quick connect with every airbrush I get; take notice that there are different models so you must order the quick connect that fits your brush. You can look at Dixies and Coast Airbrush and ... As I live in France, I often order to Obeeliks which is a Belgian shop ( www.obeeliks.com ) Another precision : the norm is called NW 2.7 for the airbrush end as the compressor takes the NW 5.0 connector (bigger than the other one ) I use a vinyl transparent hose bigger than the Aztek one but you have the choice of braided ones also. Hope it will help you.

Thank you all for coming José

What I have is a female quick  disconnect to fit an Iwata type 1/8 hose and my airburshes fitted with a male quick disconnect.

The link is the only place I've found that has an adapter to fit the Aztec airbrush.  Part number 104403 for the female quick disconnect.  The proper male parts are listed further down the page, get the ones for your airbrushes.

http://precisiongermanairbrush.com/fittings.htm

For a hose Harbor Freight has an Iwata type hose for $5.99 it's a lot less than getting one that's in an Iwata package. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=95813

You may have a Harbor Freight near you. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/retail_stores.taf#VA

Bgrigg

Or you can sell all three on eBay, and buy one new airbrush that can cover all aspects of airbrushing, like the new Badger Renegade Velocity, or Patriot 105!

Probably the best advice, right here!

Createx makes quick connect parts that fits the Paasche and the Badger, but not the Aztec. Available at Dixie Art. You would have to buy one female fitting to go on one hose, and different male fittings for the Badger and Paasche.

You can buy "regular" quick connects from the local hardware store, but that will require you to swap the hoses out, as they are too heavy to mount on the airbrush end.

Or you can build a manifold and hook up all the airbrushes to it, like this guy did!

Or you can sell all three on eBay, and buy one new airbrush that can cover all aspects of airbrushing, like the new Badger Renegade Velocity, or Patriot 105!

So long folks!

Airbrush Hose Solution?
Posted by BeerGremlin on Monday, December 21, 2009 10:35 PM

I need your help.  I now have an Aztek A480, a Badger 200, and a Paasche H.  Each one, of course, has a different sized fitting on the airbrush side of the air hose.  I don't want to disconnect the air hose from the compressor each time I switch airbrushes.  Does anyone know of, or have, a solution to my dilemma?
