Passche Millennium?
Posted by STFD637 on Monday, December 28, 2009 2:34 PM

I am looking at getting this airbrush. Anyone know anything about it. Good, Bad, Indifferent? I know Passche is a good AB. I am also looking at the VL model.

Any and all input is appreciated.

I suggest you look at the new Paasche Talon,   I have both the Millennium  and Talon.  The Talon is by far the better performer for only a few dollars more. The Millennium is a hybrid of the VL which is a very old design that has served Paasche well.  The Talon is a new design that has a new trigger, new tips, air caps, heads, better needles and a paint flow adjustment.

Thanks. It is a nice AB. I was looking at a compressor AB set. I need to replace my compressor and the difference between just the compressor and comp and AB is $30. It looks like a decent Airbrush. I have been using an Aztec 4700 for a while. So this will probably be an improvement.

Here is a link to the Talon page, it didn't work yesterday, it's back up now.  There is a airbrush compressor combo on that page.

I just got an e-mail from Chicago Airbrush, they are having a 10% off sale on airbrushes $100.00 and over.

Use  Coupon Code: 10off100 at check out.

I suggest you get the Talon TG-3F set and go to the compressor page and pick one that meets your needs.

Another option is the Iwata Eclipse HP-CS. You can get it for $105 at Hobby Lobby using their 40% off coupon. This is my favorite among the $100 airbrushs. The control is very smooth and precise. It is easy to clean. Besides, HL stocks many commonly needed Iwata spares if you ever need them.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if the it was the website or my computer last night. That is a nice airbrush....maybe something to aim for. I ended up getting a compressor with tank. I wish I had a HL here. Closest one is in Jacksonville (6-7 hour drive). I like the gravity feed style so I will aim for it. Until then I will just keep using the old Aztec.

Hope that you get a nice AND quiet compressor.  No reason to change if you are happy with you Aztek.

Keilau,

Yes I got a compressor with air tank that should help as the compressor won't be running all the time and I will have steady air flow. My old one bit the dust....It didn't like the Florida environment I guess. There were a couple times I had to stop painting due to the Moisture trap being full os actual H2O and the comp over heating. Moving my work area inside will help as well.

Thanks to all! I still like the Aztec and get good results with it. And as I have heard here b4. "it's not the Airbrush, but the person using it."
