painting faces
Posted by m3orm5 on Friday, January 1, 2010 8:45 PM

Kinda new to painting 1:35 figures and I was wondering if anyone can give some tips/pointers/tutorials on how to paint them tiny faces? By the way, I've just tried using oil paints for the faces..

Thanks guys!

The best thing to do is look through the figures forum /forums/5.aspx There are numerous articles, such as this one: /forums/t/117019.aspx

I find that most tans or flesh color paints are too saturated.  I mix them with a light grey.

Same thing applies to clothing.  Unless the figure is supposed to be wearing spandex or a nylon windbreaker, I mix any color I use with a grey of about the same lightness.
