Golden Airbrush Medium is an additive mixed with acrylic paints to give it better flow and it reduces tip dry and clogging. The Matte Medium is another additive that contains flattening agents (pumice or talc most likely) that will turn a normally gloss paint flat. The stores you mention may carry them (don't have either in my area!). Micheal's certainly will, as will any fine art supply stores.

Here's a link to a search engine for Golden Retailers. Enter your own location and see what stores offer them for sale in your area.

So long folks!

P3 Paints and airbrushing with them (Privateer Press's paint line)

Hi, so some while back I asked if anyone had info on how to make use of the P3 line of paints from Privateer Press and at that time nobody really had anything to say on the matter.  Here's what I've found out...

"Paint:water ratio 1:2, it gave me a nice flow"

"Awesome!! I have that exact same airbrush and have used P3 paint successfully with it. I use Golden airbrush medium and go about 2 parts medium to 1 part paint because P3 is a little too thick for such a small needle. I sometimes also go with 1 part airbrush medium, 1 part matte medium, and 1 part P3 paint if I want to have a more flat finish."

The small needle is in reference to the .21mm needle on my badger renegade brush

What is this golden airbrush medium he speaks of, and same question regarding what matte medium is?  Also, where do I procure such things, hobby lobby, hobbytown usa?
