sorry  i was visiting family(no internet)Sad but i did use the right nozzle. Im thinking about getting a harder and steenbeck infinity, or evolution(bigger nozzleBow Down pure genious) and I didnt wear them out they all broke the first one snapped the threads off in the airbrush, the second one I droppedOops, and the third did the same as the first. Finally this one that i have in hasnt brokenBig Smileknock on wood.

You know, maybe they should make tiny little torque wrenches for airbrush nozzles.  Idea

A couple of companies make airbrush grips that you install on to your airbrush so that you can hold it like a gun.  This should help grip them better.

I'm not an airbrush expert.  But it seems odd that a nozzle would break let a lone 3-4 nozzles in 8 months.  Even back when I used an Aztek, I didn't burn through so many nozzles that fast.

Could it be that he's installing a wrong nozzle?

I don't know, but I wish he would come back and clarify.  You know, if the nozzle's made of steel and the brush body's made of brass, maybe the threads in the body are buggered up.  I understand that Iwata could fix that if it were the case.

That is why I hate those micro-tips as they are so small.

Sell it and get a Badger 105 Patriot. Wink

Boy, that's got me curious.  I wonder what you mean by too small.  Too small to handle?  Do you damage them during cleaning?

Are you using genius Iwata parts? "4th nozzle in 8 to 9 months"? What happened to the "new" airbrush that you mentioned in the first post?

Anyway, the good news is that all Iwata airbrush has a FIVE years warranty. Hopefully, your new airbrush is less than 5 years old. You should be covered.

Nozzles can break and splitted after wear. How did you wear 4 nozzles out in 9 months? Take a picture of your broken nozzle and post it here. Some of the experts may have some idea why it broke. Under normal use, even a knock-off nozzle will last longer than your Iwata nozzles. Never heard any problem like yours. BTW, the Iwata Revolution uses a screw-on steel nozzle which should last longer than the brass nozzle of the past.

I love this type of mystery which keeps popping up on this forum.

I'm gonna guess that your airbrush has one of those teeny tiny threaded nozzles and you either cross threaded or overtightened it.Smile
