That's close but not close enough, I guess. To bad.
Thanks for the effort Mike. I appreciate it.

I measured both caps I have and the one for the Badger 100LG is .947" and the one on the Omni 4000 is .940"

Both would be too loose on your Iwata I would think. If I try and put the Omni one on the Badger 100 it won't press fit very well as it is over sized and that is only .007" larger. Yours is about .006" larger than my Badger 100LG cap so it would not stay on either I wouldn't think. It's your call.

LOL

I have a second brush that I keep on the bench. I need the lid not so much to keep the paint in but to keep dust and debri out while it sits. Right now I have a paper towel stuffed into it.
And I always use a lid. I made the mistake of not using it one day and dumped half the load while I was manouvering the kit and brush around. Often times the lid comes off with paint on it and that tells me it's doing it job.

Hey Mike, I could mic the lip if you could do the same. I got some calipers around here somewhere.
Ah yes, here we are.
Lip of the lid is .953 up against the knurled portion.

I thought you needed a lid, how did you mic one then? Big Smile

I am at work so I will check mine with my dial calipers when I get home about 12:40 am PST. Wink

I never use the cap on my gravity-feed airbrushes either.

I have two or three Badger ones but I am not sure if they would fit.

I rarely use my paint cup cap...in fact I can't even find it. Whistling  In a pinch a little Saran Wrap and a rubber band will seal the cup.

I need a paint cup cap for an Iwata CR if anyone has a spare that's worth a couple of bucks to them.
